An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 Sessional Family Time supervisors to join Askham Children's Contact Service. The candidates will have a recognized qualification in childcare / education / social care or youth work and / or experience of working in a Children's Contact service.

You will work as part of a small team and will supervise family time sessions both in the centre and the local community. You will have experience of working with children and families with a good understanding of the issues that arise when families are not living together.

A good knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection, with understanding of key risk factors, including the role of the LADO is essential.

You should have direct experience of anticipating, diffusing, and managing difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner whilst maintaining clear boundaries and objectivity when interacting with families.

You will be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include different start and finish times.

You will have the ability to make observations and assessments and write and submit these in time bound, high quality reports that may be used in court.

You should have proficient IT skills in Microsoft office, MS Teams and Outlook.

You will have or be working towards a NVQ Level 3 in a health and social care subject and have a GSCE in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
