The School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Professional (STEP) at Kingston College are now seeking an Internal Quality Assessor to ensure effective and consistent delivery of all qualifications, achieving Awarding Organisation and company standards.

Supporting assessors to achieve their full potential and deliver programmes within their remit of responsibility to an excellent standard, you'll plan, conduct and record sampling activities, observations and support sessions to ensure ongoing assessor development.

Working in collaboration with Portal Training's Director of Quality and Qualifications Quality Manager to ensure fit for purpose and innovative curriculum design, you'll contribute to the assessor performance review in a format depending on individual needs, feeding back on risk bandings, sampling, observations, any other IQA activity, achievements, challenges and areas for development.

We would like you to hold an Assessor/IV Qualification related to engineering, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and participated in recent and relevant CPD. With knowledge of at least two of the following areas: machining, manufacturing and maintenance, you'll have experience of successful assessment and delivery of engineering apprenticeship standards and hold professional industry qualifications and/or experience in a related industrial environment.

Able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning to support students, you'll have high personal standards and expectations with awareness of academic quality standards. You'll be able to work effectively as an individual and as a team member to achieve targets and be receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
