Full Job Description

The current timetable includes sessions on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Candidates would need to be available on these days. Your duties You will:

  • Lecture and train Foundation Learning Students
  • Develop Learning Support Programmes and materials
  • Supervise a team of Learning Support Assistants
  • Assess students' initial support needs and monitor progress
  • Arrange appropriate additional support for examinations

    The successful candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
  • A minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
  • Commitment to and evidence of CPD
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of working with learners with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working with post 16 students
  • Evidence of successful classroom practice which motivates students
