Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Sexual Health / Genito Urinary Nurse to join the team based at Bishop Auckland Hospital.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-professional team, providing comprehensive, evidence based and patient focused sexual and reproductive health care., The post holder will be responsible for making professionally autonomous decisions, for which they are accountable, assessing patients who may present with both undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, as well as for follow up routine care.

The post holder will work within a designated team based at Bisop Auckland Hospital to support the day to day running of clinics and will be responsible for providing cover when required across any other sexual health setting.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
