SHE Technician

You may not have heard of us, but we're sure you've tried our products because we supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK. Here at Manton Wood, we have a team of around 1,700 colleagues. We produce sandwiches and wraps for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi and Lidl. Our Manton Wood site has a gym, restaurant with hot food and a staff shop available to all our colleagues. What you'll be doing You will be providing day to day support on all operational Health, Safety and Environment activities, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained in alignment with Group policy. Key Accountabilities

• Compile and record Health, Safety and Environment statistical data.
• Conduct routine checks of safety management systems and equipment.
• Amend and update policy documents to the existing Greencore standard.
• Control near miss data reporting and tracking closure.
• Issue inspections and audits as per the schedules.
• Update electronic systems including COSHH and Accident Management systems.
• Raise purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• Update daily, weekly and monthly KPI spreadsheets.
• Collate environmental and waste information and forward on to Group Environmental Team

• A sound understanding of Safety, Health and Environmental processes (IOSH qualification preferable)
• Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• The ability to work unsupervised.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills
