Full Job Description

You might be thinking to yourself, what does a Shift Officer actually do within National Gas? Well…

You will control and provide operation of a Terminal to facilitate the throughput of gas flow nominations from Supplier Terminals, Shippers and Delivery Facility Operators into the national transmission system.

On work being undertaken, you will authorise permission documents within SCO 91, 94 and EL94, undertaking the role of Site Controller where required.

You will maintain accurate site operational records including shift log entries, ensuring compliance with the relative policies and procedures, legislation and regulatory requirements.

It will be crucial for you to contribute to the development, review and update of emergency, safety , operational and environmental plans and procedures to ensure safe and cost effective operation of the terminal.

To be successful in this role you will need proven engineering maintenance and operational knowledge gained within the Oil & Gas industry (or other similar processes) with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Operations.
