Full Job Description

SevernSide has a diverse range of operational roles supporting the delivery of urgent primary care across the 24-hour period. The core purpose of this role is:

  • Uphold standard operating procedures for consistent service delivery and Produce clear and concise shift reports.
  • To ensure that our patients care is managed effectively and to the required standards.
  • As an IUC Shift Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth operation of shifts, maintaining effective patient care according to our high standards. This role involves supervising the shift to ensure seamless service delivery. At all times the post holder must act in a manner consistent with the code of conduct and appearance representing BrisDoc and the NHS, Operational Supervision: o Oversee patient advice, treatment centres, and our mobile fleet. o Ensure timely appointments and home visits. o Communicate with NHS 111 to balance demand and capacity. o Uphold standard operating procedures for consistent service delivery. o Produce clear and concise shift reports. Call Handling: o Manage professional and patient call lines, ensuring high service standards. o Accurately log referrals onto patient databases. o Resource Management o Deploy resources strategically for optimal service throughout your shift. o Address staffing issues promptly and support Clinical Coordinators. Risk Management: o Respond to healthcare system risks. o Implement business continuity plans as needed.
