Full Job Description
- Take card and cash payments, give change and wrap purchases
- Answer customer enquiries and give advice about products
- Connect with customers face-to-face and online, to market your goods and grow your business
- Listening to customers' needs and requests, which can indicate new sales opportunities
- Maintain a website for online sales and advertising your goods
- Recruit, train and supervise shop assistants
- Deposit cash at the bank, do accounts and stocktaking
- Order stock from wholesalers, manufacturers, agents and importers
- You'll also need to keep up-to-date with your competitors' prices and products, and regulations covering trading and running a business
