Full Job Description

Do you have a passion for cleaning and the ability to effectively maintain a high standard of cleanliness using a variety of cleaning materials and equipment. If yes, we want to hear from you.
As a service, the Short Break Hub's philosophy and values are based on the premise that we will provide a high quality, safe and appropriately resourced service, which offers a short beak residential facility for children and young people aged between 0-18.
You'll clean and maintain designated areas of the hub to ensure that they are in a safe and hygienic condition. This includes operating laundry equipment and where necessary hand wash clothes. You will be required to operate cleaning equipment as necessary.
The Short Breaks Hub is an integral part of the support services available to families, and works as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team dedicated to meeting the needs of the children and young people, while providing a much needed break for carers of children with learning and physical disabilities and challenging behaviours.

You'll confidently communicate effectively at all levels including writing notes and messages as well as be able to read labels / instructions / equipment manuals
This is where you will be able to use your initiative and efficiently maintain a high standard of cleanliness using a variety of cleaning materials and equipment.
You must be able to lift/move and handle, using lifting aids, if appropriate (after training) in line with Health and Safety regulations
At times, you'll be required to work at short notice if necessary and you must be able to work at weekends if necessary
This is a public facing post so you must be able to communicate in written and spoken English
