Full Job Description

  • Safely position trailers / vehicles in a timely manner as requested by the Control Tower
  • Ensuring the yard area, including entry and exit points, vehicle wash, weighbridge, fuel islands and walkways, are managed in order for both vehicles and pedestrians to move freely and safely within the yard area and promoting best practice
  • Challenge and report on any non-compliance.
  • Drive company shunt vehicles in a safe and courteous fashion in accordance with the requirements of the site rules;
  • Report any vehicle accidents to the traffic office;
  • Report any mechanical defects;
  • Fuel vehicles and when required, undertake normal collection and delivery duties;
  • Take all responsible action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment and goods;
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks following established procedures
