Full Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for conducting regular site visits to client locations, performing security checks, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This includes monitoring the behaviour of employees, conducting bag, locker and personal checks, and addressing any security concerns on-site.,

  • Site Inspections: Conduct routine security checks at client sites to ensure a safe and secure environment for employees.

  • Bags, lockers and Personal Checks: Perform thorough bag, lockers and personal checks on employees as per the company's and client's security protocols.

  • Monitor Employee Compliance: Ensure that all employees are adhering to security and safety regulations, including access control, unauthorised possession of items, and emergency response protocols.

  • Incident Reporting: Respond to security incidents, investigate suspicious activities, and compile detailed reports on any security breaches, incidents, or observations.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that employees are complying with health and safety standards on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

  • Emergency Response: Assist in managing emergency situations, including evacuations, medical emergencies, or incidents requiring law enforcement or emergency services.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of site visits, security checks, employee compliance, and any incidents or observations made during the shift.

  • Training & Education: Keep updated on current security best practices and attend periodic training sessions to stay informed on new procedures or threats.

    Experience:


  • Previous experience in security.

  • Qualifications:


  • SIA Door Supervision licence.
  • Skills:


  • Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Communication:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, employees, and management.
  • Physical Fitness:


  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as patrolling, standing for long periods, and lifting items if needed., Disability Confident
