Full Job Description

    We are currently looking to recruit a clinical skills tutor who will have the skills to maintain, set up, coordinate and deliver training using this equipment. They will also be expected to support clinicians in the delivery of the clinical skills teaching, including the wide library of haptic simulators available within this facility.
  • The post is suitable for a Registered Nurse/Midwife/ODP with clinical experience, a proven interest in teaching and the ability to manage services. They need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of best practice and have the ability to access current guidance and research to ensure all teaching complies with this. The successful candidate will work closely as part of the wider Simulation and Essential Clinical skills team. What we are looking for:

  • Someone with a degree or equivalent

    Band 7 (Secondment opportunity to cover Maternity leave until 30th September 2025) 0.7 wte 26.25 hours worked over 3.5 days or working 3 / 4 days on alternate weeks with no opportunity to work from home, this is a face- to- face role The Simulation and Essential Clinical Skills service forms part of the Education Academy within Bart's Health. It is responsible for providing facilities and educational opportunities for both undergraduate and post graduate trainees across Bart's Health. This is a face-to-face role without provision to work from home. The post holder will be based in the Simulation Centre facility Whipps Cross Hospital working 26.25 hours a week. They will be expected to work across other sites as and when required. The post holder will be responsible for delivering procedure-based teaching alone and in partnership with specialists in the field.
