Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of cardiac arrest prevention & resuscitation training across the organisation. Working with the Band 7 Senior Sister and fellow Band 6's the post holder will assist with the delivery of a strategy that will enable staff to deliver high quality resuscitation care., Deliver effective cardiac arrest prevention training programs across the organisation.

Assist the Lead Nurse with duties that will enable the effective running of the cardiac arrest prevention service.

Contribute to the development of projects and strategy by leading on an identified aspect of cardiac arrest prevention or resuscitation practice.

Identify and proactively manage cardiac arrest prevention related risk.

Act as an expert resource for cardiac arrest prevention and resuscitation related issues and actively participate in the management of cardiac arrest and medical emergencies.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
