An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our Oncology and Haematology Helpline team, at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual with significant nursing experience in Oncology and/or Haematology and the delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments. This role will also involve rotation onto the inpatient unit and chemotherapy day case units., The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation, communication, decision making and motivational skills and will be a positive role model to other members of staff. You will have a kind, caring and compassionate manner towards patients and their families, and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure we deliver outstanding compassionate care, in line with the Trust's vision., In return you can expect to be provided with the support required to develop in this role, including attending any available and beneficial educational opportunities. You can expect to work within a friendly team of experienced and highly knowledgeable nurses. You will also have the opportunity to be influential in the further development of the service at this exciting time., You must have significant experience in caring for patients with cancer, be competent in cannulation, venepuncture, care of central venous access devices and administration of IV medications, and must be accredited in the administration of cytotoxic medications.

You may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £42.90, Standard £22.90 or Basic £22.90) from your salary when you commence in post (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
