We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Sister/Charge nurse to be part of the leadership team on our Coronary Care unit at the outstanding Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, renowned for its delivery of excellent, compassionate and safe patient care. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge and previous experience of caring for coronary care patients as well as processing excellent leadership skills. You will need to have the ability to influence others and effectively manage change. You will need to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development for yourself and your team: thus ensuring that all staff have the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver Safe, effective care The successful candidate will work closely with the Ward Manager and Matron to ensure the delivery of outstanding care in a safe, compassionate, responsive, effective and well led environment., CCU provides opportunities that will help you develop your skills and gain further experience. We ensure that you have structured support to be able to achieve your own personal aspirations within the vision of the unit. CCU experience is essential. Promoting and delivering exceptional patient care. Leading the unit day to day. Mentoring and supporting the staff on the ward. Ensuring accurate documentation and risk assessment compliance. Ensuring compliance in mandatory training. Leading the ward round with the MDT to deliver holistic care to our patients. Completing audits to patient patient safety and provide assurance. Completing action plans and presentations for incidents that occur. Supporting and deputising for the ward manager in the managerial duties. We are looking for an individual with exceptional communication and organisational skills that can assist the day to day running of the unit. To have a passion in educating other staff and students. To ensure
the safety, privacy and dignity of patients at all times.

We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with a genuine interest in cardiology, leadership and management.
Experience as a senior band 5 within a level 2/3 cardiac care unit is essential.
The role will encompass a significant level of clinical support and advice to the patients, relatives, nursing staff and members of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be expected to provide training and education for both pre and post registered nursing staff. Encompassed in the role will be the promotion of evidence based practise, quality care, participating in research and the audit process. The candidate needs to be able to show support for Ward Manager and Trust objectives through leadership skills and effective communication.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Be able to prioritise care, manage their own workload and make decisions within their competence.
