An exciting opportunity has arisen to join ward 7B, we are a general medical ward specialising in older people, which has 27 beds in total. We are looking to recruit additional senior, experienced nursing staff, to join this well-established and committed multi-disciplinary team.Main duties of the job We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced nurse who can demonstrate commitment to the provision of high quality person-centred care. The post holder is required to be an exemplary role model and senior member of the team, demonstrating good organisational, managerial and leadership skills within the acute setting. All Band 6 Sisters, Charge Nurses are to assume responsibility for a specified area/ areas of practice and will feed back to the Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse/ Matron at meetings or as required, ensuring the continued development of clinical practice within the Unit.Roles will include:-

  • Infection Control including hand hygiene/ care bundles/ HII
  • Education and Training
  • Mandatory Training including trust induction/ manual handling/ fire training
  • Governance including risk management/ incident reporting
  • Policies and Guidelines
  • Medicines Management
  • Staff Involvement
  • Student Development
