Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Band 6 team on The Teenage Young Adult (TYA) Unit. The post will offer broad experience in the care of in-patients and out-patients in the management of the full range of malignancies observed in the TYA population including acute leukaemia's, lymphomas, sarcomas, germ-cell tumours, brain tumour and others that occur less commonly. In addition the post holder will be involved in the supervised delivery of high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell rescue and a range of clinical trials. They will carry out band 6 responsibilities, for example assisting the ward manager to help facilitate the running of the unit and shift leading to ensure patient receive high quality compassionate care.

Significant post registration experience / qualification / training, including experience and knowledge within relevant speciality
Ability to demonstrate clinical decision making and judgement
Commitment to continuing professional development
Commitment to the post and Care Group responsibilities, ability to carry out bleep shifts and working across the wider care group.
