Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team to develop a new combined role.
The role will be split 50% direct clinical care and 50% education, both elements will support existing and new pre assessment staff in learning the skills to become effective Pre Assessment Nurses and improve and grow our busy DGH surgical pre-assessment service. This will ensure our team of Nurses are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to move into the next national phase of service delivery.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Nurse with at least three years, recent experience within Pre Assessment. The candidate must be able to demonstrate that they possess an excellent knowledge in pre-operative care with exceptional leadership skills that allow them to display highly effective multi-professional ways of working. They will be supporting a variety of learners in the workplace, working clinically with new and established Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
You will support the Department Lead Nurse in the continuing development of staff and work in autonomy as a member of the multi professional team, maintaining effective, compassionate communication with patients, their relatives and staff of all levels and must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
You will need evidence of continued professional development and achievements in previous posts.
