Full Job Description
Robert May's School has a vacancy for a hardworking, flexible and reliable Site Assistant, with a range of practical skills, to join our Estates team. We are seeking to appoint someone who will engage positively with members of the school community, demonstrate initiative and commitment and work in partnership with our school team to:
- Ensure the good upkeep and security of the school premises, buildings and grounds
- Undertake a range of minor repairs, maintenance and decorating
- Provide a first class service to hirers of our artificial turf pitch and other school facilities
- Work in a flexible manner for the needs of students and the school The successful candidate will be required to undertake regular training to help them to fulfill their role successfully and to comply with health and safety standards. It is anticipated that the Site Assistant would also be willing to undertake training to drive the school's minibus.

The role may also include working at heights and some lifting. Previous experience is desirable (building trade or good DIY skills would be an advantage) but training will be provided.
The post is part time, between 10 and 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. There may be some variation in working hours during school holiday periods and occasional early morning, evening or weekend hours may be required from time to time. In return, we can offer:
