Site Hygiene Manager

Our site at Rogerstone Park, Newport, employs around 1,600 people and specialises in the development and production of a wide range of chilled meals for retail customers., It's a dynamic, fast-paced environment and we now have an opening in our team for a Hygiene Manager. Reporting to the Head of Technical, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing your team, ensuring high hygiene standards are maintained and best practice is followed at all times.
• Provide direction and motivation to your team, through coaching and training, so that departmental targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Promoting a proactive culture of continuous improvement, looking for savings and more effective ways of working.
• Developing a safety-first culture, ensuring all H&S requirements are met.
• Managing labour and materials costs and looking for opportunities to improve efficiencies while maintaining high standards.
  
  Demonstrable experience of leading and developing hygiene teams in a chilled/high-care food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop teams to achieve targets and deliver improvements.
• Proven experience of improving and maintaining hygiene standards, leading hygiene audits, and ensuring compliance to BRC and retail customer standards.
• Strong Health & Safety background, able to implement accident reduction plans, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Critical Control Points.
