Full Job Description

A fantastic new opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team at our hub in Walsall. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with current CDM regulations and Clients Requirements. You'll be working on some of our exciting project for our biggest customers in the water industry. On-Site are part of SSI within the South Staffordshire Group, which is 3000 employee-strong, behind South Staffs, Cambridge water and a host of other businesses that feed into the utilities sector. You won't just be joining one business; you'll be part of a group that can offer you variety and development for the whole of your career! What's the role:

  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and Clients Requirements, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Conduct monthly audits and inspections to uphold quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the work being undertaken, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to secure permits for street work, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Organize efficient traffic management systems, including traffic lights, road closures, and other necessary measures, to minimize disruptions and maintain safety on-site.

    Required certifications: ILM Level in Leadership and Management or equivalent, Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator, Supervisor Streetworks, SMSTS, EUSR Water Hygiene, Valid First Aid, IOSH Managing Safety.
  • Preferred experience with overhead power lines (GS6).
  • Strong background in deep excavation and trench support.
  • Mechanical and electrical experience would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Full Uk Driving License
