Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop is our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. Comprising Anglian Water, Morrison Utility Services, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base, typically totalling £50-60m per year.
With hundreds of projects across the region and the need to deliver customer satisfaction within the water industry at the highest it has ever been, how we manage and execute projects has never been under as much scrutiny as now.
You will work on-site within a 60/70 mile radius of the offices in Northampton NN3 9BX.
What you will be doing?
Based on a designated site in the area, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of Supervisors, delivery teams and sub-contractors on site. You'll look to ensure resources are utilised correctly to ensure efficiency is achieved and we optimise our workforce to meet deadlines.
Furthermore, you'll be expected to implement and monitor health, safety, quality and performance standards and ensure all work meets required water industry regulations and Anglian Water-approved standards including POSWSH., Accountable for SHEQ performance of Projects, including undertaking and recording findings of periodic SHEQ visits
Responsible for all Health and Safety issues on site, completion of paperwork, including weekly safety & environmental inspections, toolbox talks, site-specific risk assessments & method statements
Act as a Health & Safety ambassador across the organisation by driving cultural change into the Delivery/Design Teams to eliminate/minimise physical and non-physical waste - i.e., recycling techniques, workshop recharges, standing time etc.
Oversee the management of multiple concurrent projects by proactively managing site-based Supervisors and Delivery Teams ensuring safety, quality and time frames drive performance
Responsible for delivery of projects in line with tender allowances and agreed programmes of work, actively managing any slippage
Proactively support planning responsibilities to ensure initiatives are implemented with minimal disruption, these include resourcing, project requirements and estimations
Procurement of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors using an appropriate financial management accounting system to ensure projects are delivered within tender allowances

Knowledge and Experience in the water industry
To have a certificate in Site Safety Management (or attended a 5-day course)
To hold relevant CSCS card
Extensive experience in M&E/construction industry
Have knowledge and experience of working to a budget and programme
Commercial and Contractual awareness.
Ability to minimise cost and maximise value during project construction phases.
Effective management of sub-contractors.
Excellent customer and client relationship skills
Ability to influence client decision-making.
Basic Management training, skills & experience
Good understanding of legislative and corporate SHEQ / Industry / Legal requirements
Comprehensive IT abilities including MS Suite.
Good Project/programme management skills
