Full Job Description

As Site Manager (Gas), you will supervise on a day-to-day basis work carried out within the various gas work programmes. You will be responsible for the operational supervision of gas operatives and subcontractors on site across a range of activities such as gas boiler installations, gas servicing and gas repairs.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team across the range of work programmes. You will be responsible for the supervision of operatives and subcontractors ensuring they comply with company standards of work performance, customer service and operating procedures., We're responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of over 18,000 council owned homes and various other office, public buildings and schools across the borough which stretches from Bill Quay to Chopwell. In addition to this, the Council delivers a range of investment works including major, cyclical, and planned works.

It is essential you have knowledge of the construction industry and are IT literate with all Microsoft Office packages.

You will have experience of all relevant statutory gas legislation and regulations including the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure (IGEM/G/11 +A:2018).

You will manage operatives and contractors on site ensuring safe systems of work and policies, practices and procedures are followed. You will also have experience of working in a compliance focused team, and of organising and prioritising your own workload, dealing calmly with difficult situations, and making decisions under pressure.

You will be qualified with a relevant City and Guilds/NVQ Certificate in Plumbing and Heating, Current Domestic ACS accreditation in CCN1, CENWAT & CPA1, Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent or willing to work towards, Scaffold Inspection Certification or willing to work towards, First Aid at Work Certification or willing to work towards, and a Full driving licence or ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
