Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Site Operations Senior Tech Analyst to join our team here at GSK. The Site Operations Senior Tech Analyst will provide support for the definition and the implementation of the GSK Tech sites Operating Model. You will provide both Operating Standard formalization and technical analysis for development of solutions in support of the Manufacturing processes. You will be required to manage the deployment, testing, validation, performance, operations and continuous support and improvement of all Site and Operations products. This role requires a balance of business and IT/OT process understanding, technical breadth and an ability to operate in a flexible and agile way to drive efficiency and improvements to the site tech operations. The role has increased complexity of geographies, user bases (internal and external to GSK) and a large mix of technology and business process understanding.,

  • Leads the improvement of Tech Operation standards, procedures and guidelines in order to promote a unique way of working across the Site Tech departments.
  • Leads development and delivery of platform / product strategy and management of vendor partnerships
  • Identification of opportunities and delivery of solutions to improve products, systems, interfaces, Tech Operation processes and performance by effectively exploiting technology to meet business objectives.
  • Ensures continuity of business execution through ensuring applications within Site and Operations Products are: Fit for purpose (e.g. easy to use and reliable) and support the evolving business processes, cost effective, meets an agreed Risk Profile
  • Engages with Tech tiered accountability process; and participate in Tech Performance Management processes
  • Management of Site product instance monitoring & backlog requests (demand profile)
  • Drives service optimisation for Site and Operations products at a global level
  • Identification of value and improvement opportunities (understands the products to maximise the value created through those applications for site and ensures effective use of them)
  • Leads feature release co-ordination / installation and Site product instance configuration and deployment, enable continuous deployments and improvements
  • Controls Lifecycle Management for services owned by Site Tech

  • Graduate in science, engineering, computing or similar level vocational qualification in technical discipline
  • Experience in IT Operations
  • Strong conceptual thinking, modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong relationship building, team working and influencing skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing principles and practices.
