Full Job Description

We're looking for a Production Planner to create and manage our daily and weekly production schedules, ensuring we deliver top-notch snacking and chocolate products to our customers. You'll optimize production sequences to reduce waste and boost efficiency. Collaborating with our team, you'll develop stable manufacturing plans, especially during key seasonal launches. You'll also monitor trends and take action to ensure our products meet the highest standards. If you're detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you! Scheduling

  • Develop and issue weekly production plans to achieve at least 98.5% customer service, optimizing product sequencing.
  • Maintain a 3-week fixed schedule, with provisional and final plans agreed upon with operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings, ensuring plans are signed off by relevant departments.
  • Monitor and update daily work order (WO) management, adjusting plans based on the previous day's output and tracking any deviations.
  • Collaborate with the Site Planning Manager to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on planning failures and adjust routings or sequences as needed.
  • Align production plans with available labor, escalating variances from the fixed plan.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance and deep cleans are included in future schedules.
  • Inventory Management
  • Review and address weekly shortage reports, coordinating with logistics, transport, and procurement teams.
  • Work closely with internal teams to manage warehouse space and ensure smooth operations.
  • Regularly review stock status, expediting materials as necessary, and handle surplus items after RCA.
  • Meetings & Reporting
  • Update and maintain Supply Chain KPIs and metrics.
  • Coordinate packing and WIP requests with the inventory and procurement teams.

  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, handling conflicting demands.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Advanced User of Excel.
  • Good Knowledge of MRP / ERP Systems (Training is available).
  • Ability to build strong effective relationships with key cross functional departments.
  • Strong ability to analyse data and trends to optimize production sequences and address potential issues.
  • Confident in taking meetings and talking to cross functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in creating and managing production schedules.
