About the team You will be working with a global team based primarily in the US and India, but also the UK. You will be responsible for several high availability leveraged applications used by both internal applications as well as external facing APIs. This technology is used by major banking clients in Australia. What you will be doing As a Site Reliability Engineer on our team you will be working with a global team based primarily in the US and India, but also the UK. You will be responsible for several high availability leveraged applications used by both internal applications as well as external facing APIs. In this role you will be:

  • Focusing on scalability, high availability, performance, stability and reliability of software applications.
  • You will build automations to simplify operations and processes, collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure positive end user experiences.
  • You will apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline and mature automation to our operating environment and codebase.

    Bachelor of Computer Science, Experience working with API gateways and REST
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and navigation along with data centre experience
  • Experience with SQL and Postgres databases
  • To be capable of working independently while also co-ordinating with product and client teams
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience in technically focused roles
  • Added bonus if you have:
  • Banking sector experience
  • Solid understanding of networking and SSL/certificate security
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and navigation along with data centre experience
  • Java, Python, Shell Scripting and Bash Scripting knowledge
