Full Job Description

  • Colleague Networks - internal groups where colleagues and their allies can share their own experiences, offer feedback on the way we do things at Greggs, and provide support to one another, Our Site Services teams play a vital role in the daily running and maintenance of our manufacturing and distribution centres. As a Supervisor you'll lead your team to ensure that your site is kept to the highest of standards, our colleagues are working in the safest and most hygienic environments and of course our loyal customers are receiving the highest quality of products.
  • What you'll do As Site Services Supervisor you'll be responsible for maintaining of laundry, waste disposal, recycling, purchasing of chemicals and PPE. You'll oversee the general hygiene operation at site as well as specialist cleaning operations including; canteen facilities, external site facilities and pest control. You'll make sure your teams are motivated, engaged and fully trained to meet their objectives and targets. You'll provide management and guidance to ensure they have a broad understanding of all Food Safety, Health & Safety, Hygiene and Quality procedures and legislation to make sure that only the highest quality products reach our loyal customers. You'll create an environment of continuous improvement to make sure we remain competitive, with plenty of opportunities to directly influence the success of the operation on site. Working in a food production environment means that sometimes you'll be exposed to flour and dust.

  • You're a leader who has experience in managing teams, building team capability, and motivating your people to bring their best every day
  • You're experienced in general hygiene operations within the food production and manufacturing industry
  • You're experience in specialist hygiene operations, ideally, external site and canteen facilities and pest control
  • You can demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of chemical usage in Hygiene operations
  • You know how to operate business management systems to support you to assess, drive and guarantee team and business results are achieved
  • You know what you're talking about when it comes to using Microsoft IT packages and you've ideally had exposure to SAP systems
  • You can demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of Food Hygiene (ideally, you'll hold a level 2 Food Hygiene qualification)
  • You are supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is good
