Site Staff

Band E SCP 5-6 (£23,500 - £23,893 Actual Salary)

Full Time - Permanent (37 hrs per week, 52 weeks per annum)

Job Start: November 2024

The Avon Valley School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed member of the school site team who has a 'can do' attitude, ideally with experience in a similar facilities/caretaking role. We are seeking someone who is willing to go the extra mile to make a difference to the students at our school, has the flexibility to be part of a great team, and the problem solving skills to resolve situations as they arise, with the support of the Site Manager.

Our site services team is key to the effective running of the school. This role is varied and involves providing a quick response to general maintenance calls, manual handling and lifting, janitorial, monitoring and security duties.

The role will require driving a minibus and therefore the successful candidate will need to have held a driving license for at least 2 years.

As part of our staff professional development we offer relevant training which provides the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge for this role.

We will offer the successful applicant:

· A committed and extremely supportive staff team

· A focus on staff development

· A thriving community of students and parents/carers

· Employee benefits such as the cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme, onsite catering facilities and free on-site parking

· Opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme

Closing date: 12.00pm Monday 4th November 2024

(although we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role).

Interviews to be held: TBC
