Full Job Description

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the daily running of the site operations ensuring full compliance on the site.
The supervisor will be responsible to ensure efficient deployment of staff and resources to promote recycling at the Household Waste Recycling Centres and Transfer facilities within the region.

The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the North Tyneside WTS team and contribute to ensuring we provide the best service to our clients and customers.
Supervision of personnel and fixed plant, monitoring quality and continually striving to implement process improvements.

Further responsibilities will include collating working hours of staff for payroll on a monthly basis, maintain budgetary control over operations, order equipment and resource for the site.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring activities of all employees comply with SUEZ's policies & procedures and relevant Health & Safety legislation.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for recycling coupled with strong communication skills.
The successful candidate will be able to bring their experience of supervising and developing engaged teams to meet very high operational standards to the role.
NEBOSH or IOSH is preferable Plus COTC level 4 Treatment and Transfer of hazardous waste or the ability to achieve this within 12 months.
A broad knowledge of plant equipment is desirable, but not essential, as training is provided.

The role is based from our Transfer Station and HWRC in North Tyneside working Sunday to Wednesday from 6am-4.30pm ( 42 hours per week). The salary for this position is from £30,867 - £33,648 Plus Van/Car, Bonus, Holidays , Pension
