Sixth Form Student Support Worker Salary Actual £27,011 (F.T.E £31,304) Per annum 37.5 hours per week 39 weeks a year United Learning Thank you for your interest in working at The John Roan School. The Role: As the Sixth Form Student Support Worker for The John Roan School, the post-holder will be an integral part of the Sixth Form Team. The Student Support Worker will work alongside senior staff and the wider inclusion team in school to promote the maintenance of a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment, through the patrolling of the building, supervision of the independent study rooms, responding to on-call requests and liaison with senior staff, paying particular attention to student safety. In particular, the post holder will:

  • Maintain positive, supportive relationships with individuals and groups of students
  • Maintain the highest standards for our students
  • Be firm, caring, non-judgemental and understanding
  • Ensure that there is a positive working environment throughout the building that enables all students to study effectively
  • Demonstrate a flexible and creative approach in the delivery of their work
  • Work independently with little supervision
