Full Job Description
To carry out tasks set by site supervisors and gangers to a high and safe standard., Operate and carry out job set tasks
- Ensure have been briefed and understand all relevant risk and method statements
- Use best/safe practice on all tasks carried out
- Checks on any equipment that may use
- Ensure a safe tidy place of work
- Implement best practice procedures
- Maximise use of own working time
- Ensure signed up for all permits and briefings before commencing any work
- Communicate with site supervisor on any concerns
- Feedback to site management with near miss reporting
- Ensure to attend all site briefings, forums, and toolbox talks
- Deputise for conducting briefings and toolbox talks
- Safely carry out tasks set by the site management team or ganger if part of a gang
- Foreman/General Foreman
- Site Manager
- Site operatives
- Operations Manager
A good experience in relevant site work - Experience in general civil works (earthworks, drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concreting)
- CSCS card
- Either CPCS forward tipping dumper/ slinger signaller/ ride on roller/ 360 excavator
- NRSWA
- H+S awareness
- ½ day environmental awareness preferable
- SSMTS preferable
- 1 day First Aid
- Good team worker
Ensure the completion of works is on time
