Full Job Description

Manage data collection and submissions to the Department for Education (DfE) for the Skills Bootcamps. Liaison with the Skills Bootcamp delivery partners, who are education providers within Oxfordshire, to obtain timely data regarding the individual learners on each Bootcamp. This will be used to make submissions to the DfE and payments to delivery training partners.

Responsible for working with delivery training partners to ensure the data is accurate and, in the format, required by DfE and our key stakeholders. The role will work with the Skills Bootcamp Programme Lead to sample the participant data and ensure OxLEP can evidence delivery against the Skills Bootcamp target profile.

Provide general administrative support to the Skills Bootcamp Programme Lead as required., The post will develop and implement an ambitious project plan, aligned to the roll-out of 10 Skills Bootcamps across Oxfordshire from April 2024 to 31st March 2025.

  • To directly support the Skills Bootcamp programme, helping to secure project results and outputs in line with the grant agreement with DfE.


  • To co-ordinate the gathering of data and creation and accurate maintenance of partner quality files to deliver exceptional project audit performance.


  • To co-ordinate the accurate and timely gathering of reports and evidence from project delivery partners and prepare submission of collated reports to DfE.


  • To review delivery partner funding claims against funding guidance prior to arranging payment.


  • Ensures that Bootcamp participant data is stored by OxLEP as required by GDPR and our Upper Tier Authority (Oxfordshire County Council).


  • To respond to enquiries received into our OxLEP Skills email address and signpost to the appropriate delivery partner or the Skills Bootcamp Programme Lead.


  • To support project partners in the production of case studies and curate them in a way which can be used to promote external engagement with the Skills Bootcamps.


  • Co-ordinate the Programme Steering Group meetings, distributing the agenda, taking minutes and distributing action notes of these meetings.


  • Support the Skills Bootcamp Programme Lead in preparing PowerPoint slides for LEP Board, Skills & Business sub-group and other stakeholder meetings.


  • Upload information about businesses engaged through Skills Bootcamps onto the LEP's CRM system, including sharing any business intelligence reporting to organisational teams.


  • Working to support wider project management activities within the LEP as appropriate.

    Essential: Minimum A levels, Level 4, BTEC or equivalent demonstrable experience., Essential:

  • Significant experience of managing and processing large quantities of data to meet programme objectives.

  • Demonstrable experience of co-ordinating large financial payments and claims.

  • Demonstrable ability to co-ordinate meetings and manage conflicting diaries with a variety of stakeholders.


  • Knowledge:

    Essential:
  • Demonstrable experience of producing regular management reports or data submissions.


  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of working in or with the Education sector, specifically FE, would be beneficial.


  • Skills:

    Essential:
  • Very accurate with strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communication to stakeholders, via both phone and email.

  • Experience of using MS Office software (including significant use of MS Excel), Teams, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

  • Good planning and excellent organisational skills.

  • Demonstrable analytical, information and problem-solving skills., Customer focused and outcome orientated.

  • Self-motivated and able to work without others in different geographical locations, whilst also able to work effectively within a team (internally and with partners) to collectively achieve results.

  • Communicates orally in a clear, fluent, concise, and appropriate way., A-Level or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • data processing: 1 year (preferred)

  • programme coordination: 1 year (required)


  • Work Location: Remote

  • Remote working opportunity but must be able to occasionally commute to hub office at OX11 0GD and other events across Oxfordshire.

    Between 3rd April 2023 and 31st March 2025, OxLEP is taking part in a four-day working week pilot scheme (operating Monday to Thursday during a normal working week). You can find out more on this pilot scheme via our website. We are currently working Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day with pay equivalent to 37 hours.
