Full Job Description
You will be accountable for learner progression and ensuring the young adults achieve the skills they need to move onto Mencap's Supported Internship Programme. You will deliver support in various ways; 1-1 job coaching, working with learners in the classroom to develop employability skills and embed English and Maths learning in the workplace. The role aims to support people to learn the skills they need to go on and achieve sustained paid employment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and self-motivated Skills Coach to join our Supported Internship programme team in Barnet. The role is part time (22.5 hours per week)., Experience of supporting people - Experience of delivering against targets - Knowledge of safe working practices - Knowledge of sector - A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent) - Good ICT skills - Effective Communicator - Effective record keeping and reporting All candidates offered an interview for this role will need to provide evidence of their GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at interview stage.
