Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our newly formed Employment and Skills team. This position will help us to build on the current success of the Skills Hub from 'The Bridge' in Worksop. The building underwent a £3.5m transformation and opened its doors to learners in April 2022. The space provides state of the art formal and informal learning environments for residents and employers to access technical and higher education locally. The Skills Hub provides accommodation for education partners to deliver a range of curriculum areas. In addition, there is an 80-seat auditorium that education providers, employers and stakeholders can utilise for learning and skills interventions, host team development activities, facilitate meetings / conferences, or run a range of events.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations management for the Skills Hub and will work with the Employment and Skills Manager on business development, including sales and marketing to attract and retain hub occupiers to extend higher education provision in the area. You'll also be responsible for the line management of reception and student support staff.

In the autumn, the offer at the Skills Hub will be extended with the addition of the Fusion Energy Café, the first of its kind, which will promote career opportunities related to the STEP development at West Burton, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and match (STEM) jobs that will be created.

To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator with excellent organisation skills and have a positive track-record of partnership working.
