Full Job Description
Working within the Learning Disability and Autism Social Work Team, you will be a key player in managing the team to drive forward best practice. You will be responsible for co-ordinating team activities and contributing to the strategic development of the service.,
- To undertake a wide range of staff management activities, including recruitment , selection, inductions, sickness monitoring, H&S, Discipline and grievances
- To ensure work is allocated appropriately
- To appraise staff and ensure learning needs are identified and met
- Conduct formal and informal supervision if staff
- To promote required chances
- Collate information to present to senior management
- Develop and implement quality standards
- Deputise for the Service Manager when required
- Compile information and write reports as required, The successful applicant will be required to register to the DBS Update Service to enable the Council to undertake rechecks throughout your employment. The cost to register is £13 and can be claimed back upon commencement to the role but will not be refunded if you do not accept the offer of employment. - Be a registered Social Worker and hold a post qualifying award.
- Have 2 years experience within management/ leadership
- Knowledge of Learning Disability Services and best practice
