Full Job Description

  • Build, manage and monitor end to end project plans to ensure the smooth execution of each work stream and steer the programme to meet KPIs and timelines across all regions

  • Establish and maintain great stakeholder relationships with the third parties who deliver elements of our programme to ensure they roll out the series of events on time and achieving or exceeding expectations

  • Manage a share of the approx. £750k annual budget

  • Ensure accurate reporting of progress and impact. Conduct frequent impact reviews with each delivery partner and feed into the overall impact review for the customer

  • Lead continuous improvements to boost the efficiency and impact of the programmes

  • Work closely with volunteering leads, CFU leads and internal comms leads to promote the opportunities for BT Group colleagues to support the programmes

  • Event management - design and deliver a pop-up event in each region we are delivering programmes to raise awareness of the social impact programmes we are delivering. Work with Openreach leads, community and councils, delivery partners and BT Group volunteers to deliver successful events

    This is one of two four year fixed term roles to support the social impact work that we are committed to delivering as part of a large scale contract with DCMS for fibre rollout across various regions in the UK. This is a critical role with shared responsibility for the £3m budget over the course of the contract.

    The role holder will lead and manage the end to end delivery of key programmes within BT Group's social impact commitments to BDUK, identifying key project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies. The following six key work streams will be spread across several wide regions in the UK. Responsibility will be shared with a peer:
  • Empower small businesses and local organisations to deliver apprenticeships.

  • Enable local schools to get the support they need to prepare students for the world of work.

  • Accelerate growth and develop skills for small businesses

  • Boost employability and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people.

  • Level up digital skills for the over 55s.

  • Co-ordinate with Openreach teams to deliver pop-up events promoting the local interventions, BT is part of BT Group, along with EE, Openreach, and Plusnet.
