Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Social Investment Team Leader, our Social Investment Officer empowers volunteers and groups to develop community initiatives and supports the management of local customer led hubs, creating neighbourhood touch points within MSV communities collaborating with local partners.

What do our Social Investment Officers do;

Develop strong and successful relationships with partners at a local and national level.

Develop and support opportunities for employment, work experience, training and volunteering through referrals into the social investment team.

Deliver high quality community-based initiatives in collaboration with teams, partners, and the local community and empower community volunteers to create sustainable, outcome driven projects within their own neighbourhoods.

Ensure that social value metrics are captured and reported for all project activity, ensuring value for money can be demonstrated as can positive outcomes.

Manage and support community hubs operating within MSV communities and support groups to secure external funding for projects and initiatives.

Ensure Customer Voice is at the heart of all projects and initiatives.

Educated to Degree level or comparable professional qualification (desirable).

Experience of working in a community focussed environment or setting.

Experience of delivering high quality initiatives and projects

Experience of bid writing and securing external grants
