Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing and well-established health and social care charity. In this role, you will take the lead in planning and executing impactful, creative content a cross our Group. Working closely with external agencies, the in-house Marketing and Communications team, and the External Affairs team, you'll help support our vision of ensuring equitable access to housing, healthcare, social support, and employment. As part of our ambitious Business Development Department, you will be at the forefront of crafting, optimising, and driving compelling content and storytelling across our digital platforms. You'll embrace a variety of multimedia content creation to grow our digital presence, increase audience engagement, and enhance the performance of every digital journey. This role offers both variety and challenges for an experienced digital content creator ready to hit the ground running. This post sits within the SIG Development team which consists of Sales, Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, Employability and Bid/Proposal writing. It will also work closely with SIG External Affairs team. The Development team has 15 staff including this role. The post holder will be a pivotal member of the team creating engaging visuals and videos to share via physical and social media to spread the word of the impact of SIG and the outcomes achieved through its subsidiary charities. Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, hybrid working with travel across our services which are based around London, Brighton, Kent, Essex, Luton, Bedford, Liverpool, and Nottingham. Our central office is based a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station.,

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to drive growth and engagement across all Social Interest Group channels.
  • Create and manage a monthly social media calendar, producing compelling content aligned with our organisational goals and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor social media trends, threads, and performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improved audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support content creation, including multimedia materials such as videos and photos, to showcase our work and impact.
  • Lead the creation of storytelling content that highlights the work of Social Interest Group and its beneficiaries.
  • Maintain and enhance the organisation's online presence by developing website content and ensuring it aligns with strategic communication campaigns.
  • Identify and analyse competitor digital marketing activities, leveraging insights to strengthen our positioning.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in all digital content creation, including proper tagging, SEO optimization, and governance.
  • Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.     You are a creative and experienced digital communications professional with a passion for storytelling and content creation. Skilled in using tools like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress, and Canva, you excel at producing engaging multimedia content, including photos and videos, that drive social media engagement. Your ability to plan and execute successful social media campaigns, alongside strong IT proficiency, allows you to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are also knowledgeable about the challenges faced by socially marginalised individuals and bring a compassionate, inclusive approach to your work. As a self-motivated team player, you communicate effectively and build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners alike. You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and open to feedback, with a commitment to continuous personal growth. Enthusiastic and adaptable, you are ready to travel across locations to support services and events, bringing fresh ideas and creativity to this important role. What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in digital communications and creating/developing a social media marketing presence
  • Previous experience in multimedia creation, which includes the ability to create photos, videos and other engaging content
  • IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software, and ability to use Microsoft programs at an advanced level, as well as photo and design editing software, and website creator tools
  • What would we like, but not essential?
  • Professional Qualification including Social Media or Marketing Degree
  • Previous experience in creating and managing social media campaigns
  • Previous experience in using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress, Hootsuite, Canva, Video Editing software
