Full Job Description

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Social Media Specialist to join our Global Marketing Team. If you want the opportunity to interact with highly engaged fans and ensure our social spaces are inclusive and exciting, then this could be for you!

As one of our Social Media Specialists, you should possess professional experience with social media platforms and analytics tools, along with a proven track record of managing or moderating social channels for national or global brands. You will be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, possess excellent written English skills, and have a keen eye for engaging and trending content.

Your main responsibilities will include generating fresh content ideas by drawing inspiration from the community and leading non-category brands, preparing detailed content briefs for the marketing studio, managing the posting of scheduled content according to the social media planner, and monitoring and managing comments and reactions on our social channels. Additionally, you will conduct social listening for specific campaigns, topics, or accounts, track performance, and provide regular analytics to optimise content and support daily, weekly, and campaign reporting. As a member of the global social media team, you will be responsible for implementing content and platform strategies in your region to ensure Games Workshop effectively engages with customers.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships with different teams. Having an existing interest in and knowledge of all our exciting universes including Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, and related games, novels, and miniature ranges will be a definite advantage., Working pattern: To support chat moderation, you must be able to work flexibly. This may include weekends, evenings and occasional bank holidays to be agreed upon.

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let's not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
