We want our employees to reflect the diversity of our communities and the customers we serve.Job Role: As Royal HaskoningDHV continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a Social Value Lead/Manager to join us in the UK. This is a new position within the company and created due to Social Value growing as a priority with the work we do. This role will involve working with all our business lines and providing them with a visible and credible approach to Social Value across the projects that we work on. With this being a new position within our company, there is an opportunity to make the role your own and build on our current Social Value strategy. The role will include:

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders regarding social value.
  • Providing advice and support to our project teams, to ensure they are delivering on social value obligations related to existing projects and commissions.
  • Assisting with the coordination of social value activities across UK Business Lines.
  • Identifying and liaising with relevant organisations such as community groups, local schools and charities to identify relevant opportunities to deliver meaningful social value outcomes.
  • Capturing, monitoring and reviewing social value data relative to our client's adopted social value frameworks in order to ensure performance and accuracy.
  • Supporting the HRM function with the social value aspects of our graduate apprenticeship scheme and internship programme recruitment.
  • Assisting with the provision of social value responses to tender questions, and negotiating with our client's social value coordinators at project inception.
  • Creating social value case studies for internal/external communication.
  • Championing diversity, inclusion, and ethical practices across projects.
  • This role might be right for you if you have:
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience of which at least 4 years are in the area of Social Value
  • A passion for the outcomes social value activities can deliver.
  • Proven experience in social value reporting, monitoring, and delivery management.
  • Working knowledge of the National Social Value Themes Outcomes and Measures (TOMs) Framework..
  • Appreciation of how engineering / construction / consultancy businesses are required to fulfil Social Value obligations in relation to projects they bid for/deliver.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of community engagement, social impact, and sustainability.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive attitude to lead initiatives and drive change.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience of reporting social value using databases, including the Social Value Portal.
