Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Community Resource Team. We pay an attractive salary of £29,269 - £32,076 and offer access to training and development opportunities. The Community Resource Team (CRT) is recruiting a new Social Work Assistant to support our expanding hospital discharge service. The individual needs to be experienced in working in both an adult social services and hospital environment to be able to meet the requirements of this position. Applicants need to be able to work in a very fast paced service and be able to adapt their daily practice according to the needs of the team. Working knowledge of the principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act with an understanding of strengths based working is also key. The Social Work Assistant is expected to assist their Social Work colleagues at times of increased demand and pressure. There is a supportive management team in place with a culture of continual learning, development and improvement for both the individual and the service.

A Level 2 qualification/s on the Credit and Qualification Framework for Wales for example O Levels Grade A

  • -C, NVQ Level 2 in Care.
  • Experience of working in a Social Services/Health setting.
