Full Job Description

The focus of the Social Work Assistant role is to support the statutory role of the social worker. You will work with families to help them make positive changes, through the completion of direct intervention, tailored to the families' individual needs. You will complete direct work with children as well as assisting Social Workers through completion of a variety of tasks. Your role could also include supervision of family time.

We are looking for self-motivated and committed Social Work Assistant to work part-time in the Swale Central (Sittingbourne/Faversham) Social Work Teams. Across the services we work with Children in Care, Children who are supported by Child In Need or Child Protection Plans., You should have good communication and IT skills, the ability to observe and record information effectively and an understanding of the needs of children, young people and their families. You will receive a high level of good quality supervision and work alongside other team members.
