Social Worker

An exciting Social Work opportunity has arisen to join Bolton neighbourhood team working with adults with and older adults in the west / central north area.

You will need to have experience of carrying out assessments of need under the Care Act 2014 and devising and implementing strengths-based support plans, including supporting service users to access universal and voluntary services.

You will be expected to carry out assessments, carers assessments and formulate support plans under the Care Act 2014. Knowledge, experience, and the ability to adhere to the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other Social Work legislation and practice guidance are also essential.

The role includes covering a busy duty system on a rota basis, taking referrals and offering information and advice at point of contact.

Preferable experience of :

Managing an active caseload.

Undertaking safeguarding investigations.

Continuing health care assessments and attendance at multi-agency meetings.

Multi-disciplinary working.

The role is on a supportive team where there is a wealth of experience, and we have a strong commitment to development and working together to achieve successful outcomes for Bolton residents.

About You

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for Social Work practice and has experience of working with adults in a community setting.

You will have the ability to develop, maintain and improve relationships with service users and carers as well as the attributes required to participate in inter-disciplinary team working., An Enhanced DBS with check of relevant barred list is therefore required for this post.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.

Grade : H £35,745 - £39,186 per annum (£18.52 to £20.31 per hour)

Contract : Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

Role specifics : Full, clean driving licence. Social Work degree / SWE registration.
