Full Job Description
This is an exciting role to join a small close knit team as one of two Senior Practitioners. The safeguarding team is expanding and a new model of practice is currently being introduced that will further embed Making Safeguarding Personal Principles and build on the good practice already being undertaken by the team. In this role you will be integral to role modelling good practice that incorporates these principles and leading on Care Act section 42 enquiries for all new adult safeguarding referrals., Community Wellbeing is connecting and belonging to the place where you live, feeling safe and having pride in your community. - You will have sound knowledge of the Care Act including section 42 provision, which underpins adult safeguarding delivery
- You will be an experienced social worker preferably with supervisory experience (including practice educators or supervising non-social work staff)
- You will be a team player who recognises the importance of partnership working in safeguarding practice with key stakeholders
- You will have good communication and interpersonal skills
- You will be calm under pressure and have sound risk management abilities
