Full Job Description
The purpose of the Safeguarding Adult Team is to ensure that there is a consistent and timely approach to applying safeguarding thresholds, identifying and addressing immediate risk and establishing the outcomes of the person involved, in line with Making Safeguarding Personal principles. The focus is on making safeguarding personal and therefore the service user remains at the centre of the enquiry. You will provide short term intervention (usually 3 working days) during which time you will aim to make enquiries to enable you to:
- Apply safeguarding thresholds
- Identify and take steps to address any immediate risk
- Meet or discuss with the person involved to establish what their outcomes are in relation to the safeguarding enquiry. Where there are any doubts about the person's capacity to consent to the enquiry and advise of their outcomes, a mental capacity assessment and if necessary best interest decision in relation to this will be undertaken
- Establish who is involved with the person's care and who needs to be involved in the enquiry

Are you passionate about safeguarding? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced team? Are you innovative and seek to continually improve the services you deliver?, - Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
- Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
- Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
- Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
- Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
- Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle We also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process. - Newly Qualified Social Workers: £31,074 to £33,294
- Level 2 Social Worker: £34,350 to £37,950
