An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Suffolk County Council (SCC) Learning Disability and Autism West Team as a Social Worker, working from Landmark House, Ipswich. .

Working with the learning disability and autism service means a varied day. Co-production is at the heart of what we do and there is a strong core of Professional Advice/ Practice Development.
You will work with our People at the Heart of Care strategy and Signs of Safety and Wellbeing practice model, to promote independence and self-support, short-term enablement, personalisation and digital care.
All our staff are provided with Information Technology and devices to allow more flexibility in the role and access to systems such as LAS when working with clients.

a relevant social work qualification
- a current Social Work England registration (or awaiting your registration if Newly Qualified)
- a valid driving license and access to personal transport.

You'll bring:
- experience of social work, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations
- comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance
- experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members, carers, and other multi-agency professionals
- the ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults., Disability Confident

37 hours a week (FTE) - Flexible working options available and the option to apply for part time hours
- Newly Qualified Adult Social Workers: £36,124 per annum, Plus a £500 additional payment on completion of ASYE (pro rata for part time hours)
- Grade 5 Social Worker: £37,035 - £39,513 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
- Retention payments for 2, 3 and 5 years service of £1,000, £1,500 and £2,000
