West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced or newly qualified (with some ASC experience), dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care Service. You will be working in the West Locality team - serving Newbury, Hungerford and surrounding villages.   • Undertaking assessments of individuals' care and support needs
  • Developing and implementing care plans, ensuring the provision of appropriate services
  • Conducting reviews and reassessments to ensure ongoing support meets the changing needs of service users
  • Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to coordinate holistic care
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk

    Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
  • Experience in adult social care, preferably within a local authority setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Strong assessment and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and their families
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload
