Full Job Description

The CWD team provides a wide range of helpful and statutory social work interventions supporting our young people. This support is varied, it involves Looked After Children, Child Protection Planning and Children in Need. The CWD team are well established and are managed by a proactive Head of Service who is very ambitious for our children and young people.

Passion and dedication for improving and supporting the lives of children and young people with significant and profound disabilities is the foundation of the work within the team. The CWD team provides a varied range of helpful and statutory social work interventions supporting our young people. This support involves Looked After Children, Child Protection Planning, Court work and Children in Need. The CWD team are well established and are managed by a proactive Head of Service who is very ambitious for our children and young people. For a full list of responsibilities please see attached job description. This role is also entitled to Market Premium of £2,750 and a one off Golden Hello Payment of £2,125. External Golden Hello Payment is paid to new recruits after successful completion of twelve months' service., We are looking for motivated, ambitious and inspiring people to join us on our journey. The team feels like one big happy family such that you can call on anyone within the team when you need support with just about anything and they are always ready to help. The processes all new to me and lots of new terminology to learn but it has all been made easier with the support around me right through from business support through to the team manager. There is much scope for growth as there is so much to learn as each young person and their family is unique in their own way which offers continuing opportunities to grow in your practice experience".
