We are currently looking for 4 x fulltime agency Social Workers to join our Child in Need/Child Protection Service in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The roles are an increase to the establishment to support with driving our improvement plan forward.

The team is based at Macclesfield Town Hall and there is an expectation that workers are in the office a minimum of 3 days a week inclusive of the team duty day which is once every 4 days. Given the work area, there is also an expectation for staff to respond to duty situations on cases at anytime during office hours so workers need to be of close enough distance to meet this expectation.

The Child in Need/Child Protection Service take cases from referral stage and progress through assessment, CIN, CP, pre-proceedings and issuing to court. Should a case be issued to court with a plan of removal then the case would transfer to the Cared for Children's Team.

We are looking for staff who have experience within the child protection arena.
