Full Job Description

We are looking for Social Workers who have completed their assessed and supported year in employment to join our growing Connected Carers team. You will work with relatives and friends looking after children who are unable to stay at home., You will assess new Connected Carers, and offer advice and supervision to existing Connected Carers, as well as discuss potential training opportunities, ensuring they have the support they need to care for the children who live with them. You will use our signs of safety practice model to help you slow down your thinking so that robust evidence-based assessment and analysis guides your practice., Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
